SpectralLED RS-7-2

Gamma Scientific has released the SpectralLED RS-7-2 platform for applications requiring flat-field calibration, such as the test and characterisation of telescope or telephoto lenses for aerospace, the test of fish eye and wide-angle lenses for consumer-related products, or any test applications for large area image sensors.

The platform incorporates 35 LED wavelengths for the synthesis of commercially available light sources such as CIE illuminants A, B, C, D50, D55, D65, D75, E, F1-F12, or based on imported spectral profiles.

The SpectralLED RS-7-2 features a spectral range from 380-1,000nm with illumination stability greater than 99.99 per cent. The illumination accuracy is NIST traceable to better than ± 3 per cent with full scale linearity better than 0.1 per cent RMS. Through its 16-bit DAC current drivers, users can achieve up to five decades of dynamic range adjustment with wavelength monitoring and a spectral accuracy greater than ± 0.25nm. The firmware includes full spectral calibration with spectral fitting and the ability to store presets.

The standard configuration incorporates between one to eight integrated fully-tuneable light engines affixed to an integrating sphere ranging from 0.5-2m in diameter. Uniform intensity light is delivered via an output port with diameters up to 600mm. Custom configurations with larger ports are also available.
