SWIR advances help optimise battlefield thread detection

Leonardo DRS will support the US Army’s Joint Effects Targeting System II (JETS II) project, supporting efforts to carry out recon and acquire specific locations of targets

SCD USA and its subsidiary Quantum Imaging (QI) have announced that Florida-based Leonardo DRS has selected QI to support its Joint Effects Targeting System II (JETS II) efforts with the provision of its ‘MIRA’ short-wave infrared (SWIR) camera. The US Army has awarded Leonardo DRS a 30-month performance prototype contract for JETS II, a multi-sensor targeting technology for forward observers.
