Details of EU PVSEC 2011 announced

WIP, the organiser of the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), has announced that the 26th such event will be held in Hamburg, Germany, in 2011. The event will be hosted by the CCH – Congress Centre and International Fair Hamburg. The conference will take place over five days from 5-9 September 2011, and the exhibition will run over four days from 5-8 September 2011.

Having occupied 65,000 sqm in Hamburg in 2009, the exhibition area for the 26th EU PVSEC will be expanded in 2011. Further modern exhibition halls in section A of the International Fair Hamburg will be integrated to offer a total exhibition space of more than 80,000m2. In addition to the ever more comprehensive Scientific Conference Programme, the 26th EU PVSEC will be complemented by sessions on PV industry related topics, with new applications, ideas and solutions for cell and module production. The programme will incorporate extra auditoria and lecture rooms in the exhibition area with up to 800 seats, supplemental to the facilities in the CCH.

EU PVSEC executive director, Peter Helm, states: 'On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first German feed-in law, the 26th EU PVSEC will take place in Germany in 2011. The event, with its sustained support from international organisations, will honour this law’s pioneering role for the development of the global PV markets, for the emergence of the PV industry, and as a catalyst for international world class research. We look forward to welcoming you in Hamburg next year to discuss the developments and strategies towards 2020 and beyond.'
