Edmund Optics (EO) has appointed Clark Harris as manager of marketing for Asia and Vincent Thong as director of sales for Asia. This duo, along with other staff in the region, will be responsible for further development of sales and brand awareness throughout Asia.
Harris will work directly with Marisa Edmund, EO's VP of global marketing, to further expand the company's strategic marketing plans in Asia.
Harris returns client-side after working as a director with one of Asia's marketing agencies. His senior positions at Signet, Homebase and Sainsbury's together with more than 20 years of operations experience solidify his marketing skills. Clark has a Marketing BA Hons from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Thong formerly an optical R&D and assembly operations manager has been managing international sales for eight years.
Thong has an MBA from the University of Dubuque, IA and diplomas in mechanical engineering and industrial management. He has formerly worked with Hitachi Koki and Qioptiq.
