ficonTec has acquired the automated fibre alignment and laser welding product lines of Newport Corporation, with the transfer currently underway. The products will complement ficonTec’s fibre optic packaging process chain.
Newport Corporation considered a number of criteria in order to decide which company should take on the product lines, including technical competency, breadth of technology, and commitment to customer service.
