Flir wins $26.3 million Defense Logistics Agency Aviation contract

Flir Systems has announced that it has been awarded a firm fixed price contract from the US government's Defense Logistics Agency Aviation valued at $26.3 million.

The contract is for advanced imaging systems and related electronics for installation on US Navy equipment. ‘This contract award represents our continued commitment to support the US Navy's global security operations by providing state-of-the-art imaging systems that include Flir's unmatched service and support,’ said Earl Lewis, president and CEO of Flir.

The work expected under this contract will be performed at Flir's facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2012 and completed by December 2012.
