Laseroptik celebrates 25th anniversary

Laseroptik has celebrated its 25th anniversary, and the company looks back on its successful growth as an expert on coatings and laser mirrors. The company started as a spin-off of the institute of quantum optics at Hanover University, Dr Johannes Ebert officially founded the company in February 1984. Today Laseroptik employs 50 skilled individuals, runs 20 coatings plants and makes use of four coating methods in order to cover all requirements of their laser customers. In order to meet any urgent demands, the compnay launched its Laseroptik Express service in 2006, offering to manufacture coatings and laser optics with as little lead time as 24 hours.

In 2008 Laseroptik initiated a change in their top management; the founder Dr Johannes Ebert handed over his duties and commissions as former CEO to his son Dr Wolfgang Ebert. Dr Wolfgang Ebert has been part of Laseroptik since 1997 and runs the family-owned business in cooperation with the long-term managing director Werner Moorhoff, who – as team member from the very beginning – celebrates the 25th anniversary of his service to Laseroptik in 2009.
