LaserTechs takes over Koheras laser diode module business

Start-up company LaserTechs is taking over the laser diode module business of Koheras, with the latter focusing on development, production and sales of its fibre lasers and supercontinuum sources. Koheras will also continue sales of the Aculight optical parametric oscillators (OPO) at its location in Kleinostheim.

LaserTechs started business in July and moved into the production facility in Kleinostheim in order to ensure a smooth handover of business and customers.

LaserTechs was founded by Barbara Eschbach, a long-term employee of Koheras, who will contribute her experience in marketing management and sales of laser products, and Armin Hardi who can draw on many years in electronics, IT and business consulting. Both will be supported by a physicist who has been working in industrial laser R&D for more than 20 years.

LaserTechs will continue to serve OEM system integrators, such as those in metrology, medical technology, mechanical engineering, and imaging/vision systems, with customised development, production and sales of laser diode modules in the 405nm to 1500nm wavelength range under established product brand names and specifications.
