LZH shuffles management structure

Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH) has changed its management structure. With immediate effect the top management now consists of the general assembly of the membership, the supervisory board and the board of directors.

Horst Schrage, chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hannover, has been chosen as chairperson of the supervisory board.

The executive members of the board of directors, who are responsible for the operational activities of LZH, now consist of two scientific-technical executives, Ludger Overmeyer and Dietmar Kracht, and commercial executive Klaus Ulbrich. Prof. Overmeyer, who is new to the team, is also head of the Institute of Transport- and Automation Technology of the Leibniz Universität Hannover (LUH).

The organisation says the new leadership structure combines both scientific and industrial competencies, and guarantees that the LZH will continue its future-oriented development.
