Aculight has been placed at number 32 on Washington CEO magazine's ‘Top 50 high-tech firms in Washington’ list for 2007. Aculight ranked number 34 in 2006.
Newport Spectra-Physics has recently moved its UK office from Newbury to Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, home to Diamond Light Source and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, RAL. In becoming part of this community the company will be increasing its exposure to potential customers, partners and developments in the industry.
GlowLed has been awarded a grant of £225k by the Carbon Trust in the UK to develop a new generation bright LEDs, which would have a greater life expectancy, and a smaller carbon footprint, than conventional lighting.
