Ophir-Spiricon wins 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards

Ophir-Spiricon has been named as a winner of the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Awards for the category of Workplace Leadership. A celebration was held for the winners at the 10th anniversary gala in Palm Beach, USA, on 5 June.

The Manufacturing Leadership Awards (ML Awards) honour companies and individuals that are shaping the future of global manufacturing. Award nominees describe their breakthrough projects using the nomination form. Nominations for breakthrough projects are entered into specific categories and evaluated by a panel of expert judges.

Ophir-Spiricon's program components included an idea creation system based on a combination of the Eureka Ranch Innovation Model and the company's own productivity improvement process. In addition, employees are offered over 100 different online development courses through Bridgerland Applied Technology College. Employees are actively involved in community development projects involving the Child and Family Support Center, the Utah Food Bank, and fund raising races.

Ophir-Spiricon was one of 100 world-class manufacturing companies to receive this year's award presented by Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council. The other winners within this category include IBM, Merck & Co., Peterbilt Motors, and Ultra Machining Company.
