PerkinElmer Optoelectronics has acquired VaConics, a producer of high intensity xenon arc lamps. The acquisition of VaConics adds to PerkinElmer's medical lighting business, further building upon its position in the endoscopy and surgical headlamp markets with its Cermax Xenon lighting products.
