Princeton Instruments announces new president

Princeton Instruments (PI) has promoted William Asher to president of the company.

Asher previously held the position of vice president of product development and engineering at the company for eight years. Prior to working at PI, Asher was general manager at Balzers Optical and executive vice president of operations and engineering at Boston Advanced Technologies and On-Site Analysis.

‘Princeton Instruments has a storied history of providing the highest quality products and support to the scientific research community and leading edge OEM laboratory equipment manufacturers,’ said Asher.

PI designs and manufactures CCD, ICCD, emICCD, EMCCD, and InGaAs cameras; spectrographs; and optics-based solutions for the scientific research, industrial imaging, and original equipment manufacturer communities.
