Pro-Lite Technology opens French subsidary

Pro-Lite Technology has formed a French subsidiary company, Pro-Lite Technology France SAS. Pro-Lite France is based in Bordeaux and will commence trading from 3 March 2014.

Pro-Lite has established a strong reputation in the UK as a specialist in the field of photometry and light measurement and provides solutions to those wanting to measure the performance of lighting and products, and test the optical properties of materials.

Pro-Lite France will specialise in the supply of optical materials and photometric test equipment, including goniophotometers, integrating spheres, imaging colorimeters, radiometers and photometers. The company will also supply spectrophotometers, BRDF scatterometers and diffuse reflectance optical PTFE materials and calibration standards.

Pro-Lite has appointed Jérôme Castay as the sales and marketing manager of the new subsidiary. Castay is a graduate of the University of Bordeaux and has over 12 years technical and commercial experience working in the French photonics and photometry markets. Commenting on his appointment, Castay said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the Pro-Lite Group and to be bringing Pro-Lite's products and services to the French market. The lighting market is experiencing a paradigm shift with the incorporation of more energy-efficient LED technology. Pro-Lite's test equipment offers a compelling value proposition which helps those developing the next generation of lighting bring their products to market.’

Pro-Lite France is the latest member of the Pro-Lite Group, which includes Pro-Lite (UK), Sphere Optics (Germany) and Photometric and Optical Testing Services (UK).
