Rofin-Baasel receives Intel's preferred quality supplier award

Rofin-Baasel has received Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for the company's performance in 2010 - the fourth consecutive time for Rofin. Along with 15 other companies, Rofin-Baasel was recognised for its significant contributions providing Intel with laser marking equipment, deemed essential to Intel’s success.

'On behalf of the Rofin team, I would like to thank the Intel team for the honour of being selected once again to receive Intel’s Preferred Quality Supplier award for 2010,' said Günther Braun, president and CEO of Rofin. 'We are very proud to receive this award for the fourth time in a row and are looking forward to a continued successful partnership between Intel and Rofin.'

The PQS award is part of Intel’s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) programme that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80 per cent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, technology and environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 80 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems.
