Heptagon has established a 20,000 square foot headquarters for its wholly-owned Singaporean subsidiary.
It is hoped the new headquarters will open up the market around the Pacific Rim for Heptagon’s advanced micro optics. It develops glass-based wafer-scale optics that are Telcordia compatible, as has seen an increased demand for high-volume applications in recent years.
Heng Hoon Cheng will lead the new facilities as managing director of Heptagon Micro Optics Singapore. He has more than 20 years of engineering and management experience, and joins Heptagon from Epcos.
