Toptica Photonics opens new office in Japan

Toptica Photonics has opened a new office for sales, marketing and services in Japan. Located in Fuchu, Tokyo, the branch represents the strategic importance of Japan in the high technology sector, the company has said. The office started operations on 1 September.

Thomas Renner, executive VP sales and marketing of Toptica Photonics, commented: ‘Japan always had strategic importance for us due to the high density of high tech industries and academic research centres,’ he said. ‘We purchase many of our strategic components in Japan and also have close contacts to Japanese leading worldwide scientific and technology experts.’

Taro Saito, managing director of the new Japanese office, Toptica KK, commented: ‘Our team has already worked with Toptica products since almost ten years now. We are looking forward very much to cooperate with our Japanese customers even closer in the near future.’

Toptica Photonics is a manufacturer of single frequency diode lasers and ultrafast fibre lasers. Key markets include quantum technologies, biophotonics and microscopy, industrial metrology and terahertz technologies. The company has more than 200 employees and its headquarters is located in Munich, Germany.
