It will allow Japanese customers to observe the Trumpf production processes and products first-hand at the Yokohama site. The production staff were specially trained at the Trumpf development and production location for disk lasers in Schramberg. In the long term, having local production facilities will enable Trumpf to better respond to the requirements of Japanese customers.

Among the 120 invited guests were customers, key figures from Japanese industry, professors from Japanese universities, and media representatives. A high-ranking delegate from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) also came to express his congratulations. He thanked Trumpf in particular for investing in Japan after the nuclear catastrophe in Fukushima.
