Trumpf trumpets expanded facility

Trumpf Laser Marking Systems is expanding the floor space for its product development and manufacturing activities at Grüsch, Switzerland, by adding more than 3,000 square metres.

The investment in the new building totals some 17 million Swiss francs (13.7 million euros). An opening ceremony took place in June, following a year of construction work. Some 150 guests were in attendance.

'Our previous capacities were simply no longer able to handle the numbers of incoming orders. At groundbreaking in March 2012, order receipts had risen by 70 per cent in comparison with the year before. We will be introducing two entirely new TruMark product lines during the upcoming business year. That will certainly support our plans for continuing growth,' said Andreas Conzelmann, general manager at Trumpf Laser Marking Systems. 'I am especially proud of the fact that we are celebrating not only the expansion of the facilities here, but also the 10,000th marking laser to be built in Grüsch.'
