AMS Technologies has released Exalos line of 840nm Superluminescent Light Emitting Diodes (SLEDs).
These SLEDs typically exhibit 5mW optical power in a single mode fibre and 48nm, 3dB spectral bandwidth. The standard light sources are delivered in a 14-pin butterfly housing with a monitor diode and a fixed connection/angled physical contact connector.
The parts conform to the Bellcor GR-468-CORE standard and can be integrated into OCT systems, data transfer units and fibre optic sensors for civil structure monitoring as well as for aerospace navigation.
