LightWorks Optical Systems, a subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated, has expanded its Owl-IR line to include a series of athermal F/2 mid-wave infrared (MWIR) fixed focus objective lenses.
The new MWIR products follow the recent launch of the company’s Owl-IR long-wave infrared (LWIR) lenses to provide greater application capability to users. The lenses offer radiometric quality with optical MTF performance for large, high resolution FPA formats (1,280 x 1,024) and low pixel pitch (12µm). Optimised for the 3-5µm spectral range, these lenses are engineered to provide diffraction limited performance with low distortion and low stray light.
The lenses are available in standard focal lengths of 50mm, 100mm, and 150mm to accommodate most commercial application needs. The optional rugged hard carbon coating on the exterior lens surface provides increased durability.
