Lasermet has expanded its UK laser safety services by way of new laboratory facilities, including dedicated automated equipment for the testing and calibration of laser power meters. The company offers customers calibrations accurate to within plus or minus three per cent, for all common wavelengths from 400nm to 10.6 microns.
The company states that it has invested in automatic calibration of the standards used in its tests, calibrating laser power meters directly against standards held at the National Physical Laboratories in order to reduce the possibility of introduced error through cross-calibration. The calibration process, and the standards used provide traceability to the customer.
