Daylight Solutions has released a compact room-temperature CW laser with broad mode-hop-free tuning in the mid-IR.Designed for high resolution spectroscopy applications, the CW-MHF laser uses an external cavity quantum-cascade-laser (EC-QCL) with demonstrated continuous mode-hop-free tuning ranges of more than 65 cm/1.
Centre wavelengths span the mid-IR spectrum from four to 12 μm and offer excellent line width characteristics. The course tuning resolution is further enhanced by PZT actuation to allow fine resolution wavelength tuning and modulation. The laser will be distributed by Laser 2000.
These systems can be operated at room temperature with no need for cryogenic cooling allowing for an easy integration into spectrometers and experimental setups.
