DSI announces new president James Giacobazzi

Deposition Sciences(DSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, is pleased to announce Mr James (Jim) Giacobazzi as the new president. With more than 15 years of executive management experience in advanced technology companies, Jim comes highly qualified to lead DSI’s growth in the durable, optical thin-film coatings market.

Mr Giacobazzi’s accomplishments include success in achieving revenue, profit, and operational goals in various organizations from startups to Fortune 500 companies, which includes division president at L-3 Communications and general manager at LumaSense Technologies. His expertise in business development, product/technology development, P&L management, revenue and market share growth, operational infrastructure, and customer acquisition / retention, will strengthen DSI’s advantage in the marketplace.

Jim Giacobazzi has a BS Finance degree from Denver University (Colorado); he has also studied International Trade at UCLA (Los Angeles, California) and High Tech Business Strategy at MIT’s Sloan School of Management (Cambridge, Massachusetts).

Deposition Sciences is renowned for its quality, high-temperature optical coatings, including seamless LPCVD (low pressure chemical vapour deposition) filters on complex or spherical substrates and high laser damage threshold (high-LDT) coatings for use in laser and other high-energy systems. DSI is also recognized for its solution-oriented customer service, utilising three different optical coating platforms, plus wafer patterning and photolithography capabilities for military, aerospace, industrial, energy, imaging, and commercial applications.
