Newport Corporation's Spectra-Physics Lasers Division has released the Excelsior-594 Laser.
This latest addition to the company's Excelsior laser family is a multi-longitudinal mode laser with 30mW of output power at 594nm. It is an ideal solution for flow cytometry and emerging microscope and DNA sequencing applications that rely on exciting fluorescent dyes like 'Texas Red' by using 594nm as the laser excitation source.
Spectra-Physics' Excelsior laser platform includes low power CW lasers at 375, 405, 440, 473, 488, 505, 532, 561, 594, 635, 785, and 1,064nm. They are used for a variety of OEM applications because they provide superior optical beam quality, exceptionally low optical noise, and high reliability. The Excelsior lasers are stand-alone devices that are easy-to-use and operate. An integrated active light loop guarantees that every Excelsior laser delivers excellent output power stability over a wide temperature range.
