Ophir Photonics, a provider of precision laser measurement equipment and a Newport brand, has announced the newest member of the BeamTrack family, the FL250A-BB-50-PPS.
BeamTrack is a unique series of thermal detectors that combine multiple functions in one device: laser power, energy, beam position, and beam size. The sensors also provide information on beam centring and wander, all in a compact unit the size of a single function sensor of the same power level.
The first BeamTrack detectors – measuring 3W, 10W, 50W, and 150W – were introduced at Laser World of Photonics. The new FL250A-BB-50-PPS model measures power, position, and size up to 250W.
BeamTrack sensors are the only laser detectors in the industry able to measure power, position, size (PPS), energy, centring, and wander in a single device. Sensors are available with a range of aperture sizes, from 12mm to 50mm. The broadband absorbers of the detectors can measure a spectral range from 150nm to 20µm.
The FL250A-BB-50-PPS measures laser power from 150mW to 250W, and energy from 80mJ to 300J. Beam position is accurate to 0.2mm. A patented beam size detector embedded in the sensor is accurate to +/-5 per cent for a Gaussian beam.
Ophir also launched the newest version of BeamGage at Laser World of Photonics.It says BeamGage is a state-of-the-art beam profiling system that performs rigorous data acquisition and analysis of laser beam parameters, such as beam size, shape, uniformity, divergence, mode content, and expected power distribution.
