Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the new G10447 series of 10 Gbps GaAs PIN photodiode receivers mounted in ROSA (receiver optical sub-assembly) packages.
The G10447 series feature a very high-speed response of up to 12 GHz making them suitable for a variety of short distance, high-speed data transmission applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet, high-speed storage area networks (fibre channel) and optical interconnect applications.
The ROSA package is compatible with industry standard 10 Gbps miniature devices such as XMD-MSA and is suitable for use in XFP transceivers. The G10447 is designed to operate at low voltage (3.3V) and provides a differential output signal. It has a very high sensitivity and a wide dynamic range from + 2 dBm to –13.5 dBm for all 10 Gbps applications.
