Analog Modules has released the Model 763 OEM Seed Laser Diode Driver, which is ideal for driving 14-pin butterfly packaged laser diode modules or semiconductor optical amplifiers for use in CW or pulsed fibre MOPA and EFDA systems.
The driver is implemented as a transconductance amplifier (analogue voltage in, scaled current out) with operation up to 1.2A, 3.0V and pulsewidths down to 10ns. The driver circuitry operates from a single +5V power source. All other required voltages are generated on the board by high efficiency switching power supplies. The 763 is manufactured to the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC requirements.
