The Laser Optics Group, within IDEX Optics & Photonics, hired Nick Smith as the Strategic Account Manager responsible for sales of two IDEX brands; Advanced Thin Films manufactured in Boulder CO, and CVI Laser Optics manufactured in Albuquerque NM. Smith will support strategic customers in the Eastern Americas by bringing a strong background in engineering, manufacturing and testing to the management and growth of OEM customers.
Smith brings over nine years of experience with him from his previous positions at RPO, Jenoptik, Edmund Optics and Optimax in applications, manufacturing and process engineering. Smith also holds a BS in Optics from the University of Rochester.
