Pixelteq expands facility for spectral sensors

PIXELTEQ has completed a major expansion and upgrade at its Largo, Florida operation to accommodate growing demand for the company’s innovative OEM spectral sensor and micro-patterned filter solutions. The multi-million dollar investment upgrades both the technical capability and production capacity of dichroic filter arrays that incorporate PIXELTEQ’s patented micro-patterning technology.

By integrating precision optical filters into the sensor itself, PixelCam™ and PixelSensor™ arrays enable OEMs to simplify and shrink optical designs for high performance portable and wearable devices.

To support ongoing growth, PIXELTEQ has also strengthened its management team through several recent additions. Marco Snikkers has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Snikkers most recently led the European market for PIXELTEQ from its Netherland headquarters. Prior to joining PIXELTEQ, Snikkers was the commercial director for Ocean Optics across Europe since 2006.

James Troeger has also joined PIXELTEQ as Quality Manager, bringing more than 15 years of quality systems experience in semiconductor, automotive, and defense industries. Finally, Joris van Nunen has been appointed PIXELTEQ’s Europe Manager, applying his laser and photonics background to provide local support to a growing number of European clients.

“We are excited to see how our clients are using multispectral sensors to improve decisions, processes, and lives,” explains Marco Snikkers, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “PIXELTEQ’s new upgrade allows us to better serve OEM clients who need to scale miniaturized spectral sensors and wafer-level optics to volume production.”
