Precision Glass & Optics celebrates 30th anniversary

Precision Glass & Optics, a U.S.-based optics company celebrating its 30th anniversary, offers affordable, high-volume precision scribing and cutting services of plain and coated optics. To meet the growing demands of domestic and international customers, PG&O provides cost-effective thin film coatings and precision cutting and scribing to extremely tight specifications. With the company’s half-million dollar in-house glass inventory, and thirty years of expertise, PG&O delivers high-volume optics faster, and at a lower cost-per-item, than even competing Asian manufacturers.

President Dan Bukaty, Jr. notes, “We recently manufactured large quantities of 10 mm² D 263 at .3 mm thickness with a broadband anti-reflective (AR) coating on both sides.  We shipped 100,000 of these parts per week for several weeks at the low cost of 50 cents per piece.  This project highlights PG&O’s ability to turn around precision optics rapidly, and deliver high-quality, high-volume, two-sided coated parts at pricing that our Asian competitors cannot meet.”

With a 72” state-of-the-art coating chamber and a large, in-house glass substrates inventory, PG&O also provides quick turnaround on a wide array of flats, prisms, and beamsplitters. Moreover, the company offers custom optical solutions and assemblies manufactured to rigid specifications.

A full range of cost-effective thin film filters feature heat resistant, anti-reflective, dichroic, dielectric, and metal for commercial and custom applications.  Highly precise optical coatings can be designed and specified up to 24-inches diameter to meet exact angle and wavelength requirements for custom applications.  Applications include medical, display, imaging, projection, defense, aerospace, scanning, and industrial instrumentation.
