Edmund Optics has introduced its new Techspec ultra-thin N-BK7 windows, measuring 0.20mm in thickness. The windows are the thinnest offered by the company, and they are well-suited for a variety of applications including cover plates for biotechnology imaging, replacement windows for CCD sensors and numerous R&D and OEM applications. The thin design of the windows makes them suitable for both weight and size sensitive applications. The windows feature a high tolerance design, which yields minimal beam distortion and scatter.
The Techspec windows are available uncoated or with an MgF2 anti-reflective coating. Standard sizes include 5mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm and 50mm diameters.
Edmund Optics' QuikMod programme allows for rapid turnaround of modified catalogue optical components; a two-week turnaround time for orders of 10 pieces or fewer.
