Tsutomu Ogasawara succeeds Taro Sasada as managing director at Instrument Systems

As of 16 December 2016, Tsutomu Ogasawara has been appointed as the new managing director of Instrument Systems, taking over from Taro Sasada to form a new management team together with CEO Dr Markus Ehbrecht.

Since 2012, Tsutomu Ogasawara has been responsible for the launch of Instrument Systems products on the Japanese market on the part of Konica Minolta. The 47-year-old graduate chemist brings a total of over 25 years of experience in various sales-oriented functions at Konica Minolta in Japan and Germany.

Ogasawara remarked on the retirement of his predecessor Taro Sasada, who is returning to the Japanese parent company: ‘Taro Sasada has created a strong bond between Konica Minolta and Instrument Systems. I would like to further expand this cooperation and contribute to the success of Instrument Systems.’

Dr Markus Ehbrecht commented on the change in dual leadership: ‘My sincere thanks go to Taro Sasada, who showed great commitment to Instrument Systems as a member of the wider group in several extraordinary growth phases. At the same time we look forward to working together with Tsutomu Ogasawara in tackling the challenges of the coming years.’
