Tom Pickering is a Product Manager at Ansys, leading the Ansys Zemax OpticStudio team with a focus on product strategy, feature development, and cross-functional collaboration.

He brings over a decade of product management experience and a strong technical background, holding a Ph.D. in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an MSc in Technical Physics from the Vienna University of Technology.

Tom began his career as a researcher at CERN and joined Zemax in 2015 as a Senior Optical Engineer, later becoming part of Ansys through its acquisition of Zemax in 2021. He is passionate about leveraging his scientific expertise and business acumen to deliver impactful, customer-driven solutions.
