AMS Technologies, a pan-European distributor of high-tech components and systems, and Ireland-based SensL, a leader in low light sensing solutions, have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement. The agreement entitles AMS Technologies to market and sell SensL's products in Germany and Eastern Europe.
Products include silicon low light detectors, silicon photomultiplier array technology, and data acquisition systems, all of which are designed to suit the current and emerging market for analogue and digital applications.
SensL's detectors are small form factor and high gain amplification is on-chip to simplify integration with external electronics. They operate at very low voltages of 30-50V compared to APD and PMT detectors, which typically use hundreds or thousands of volts. The detectors are also immune to damage by large photon flux and insensitive to magnetic fields.
