Elliot Scientific has signed a distribution agreement with Solus Technologies, a manufacturer of a range of Semiconductor Disk Lasers (SDL) that use custom-designed semiconductor structures.
The Solus team's experience in III-V semiconductors, optical components and DPSS laser engineering brings products and solutions to a diverse range of customers, from OEM applications - for example, high volume printing and semiconductor metrology - through to precision scientific markets such as high resolution spectroscopy.
Solus Technologies' Meridian family of tunable 2µm lasers provide a combination of high power, compact footprint and a wide range of custom wavelengths (from 1.9 to 2.5µm) that includes those traditionally difficult to reach in the mid infrared.
The solid state lasers offer flexibility in configuration and operation. Systems are designed and manufactured in the UK to customer-specified requirements, providing products for applications that include: molecular spectroscopy, gas sensing, semiconductor manufacture and bio-medical imaging and analysis.
