A new company has been incorporated, named The Optoelectronics Company, specialising in the distribution of innovative optoelectronic devices, initially offering visible/IR vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers and GaAs pin photo diodes from Korean manufacturer Optowell.
The company has been set up Damon Cookman and Tony Pope, who were previously the founders of Photonic Products, a company which has twice received the Queen's Award for Enterprise. The firms headquarters are in Henham, in rural Hertfordshire, from where it will distribute products worldwide.
