Spectrum Detector, a USA-based manufacturer of detectors and instruments for optical power and energy measurement, has announced an agreement with Laserpoint, an Italian manufacturer of laser diagnostic sensors and instruments, to become their exclusive marketing, sales and distribution agent of Laserpoint goods in the USA and Canada, effective as of January 2010.
Laserpoint, established in 1989, has developed high damage threshold laser power probes and many innovative laser diagnostic products. Spectrum Detector intends to use its own staff to provide expert technical and applications support for these Laserpoint products.
'This is a powerful partnership and will be beneficial to both companies and our domestic customers. Between our two firms we have over five decades of experience designing and building laser sensors and solving difficult laser measurement problems' said Don Dooley, president of Spectrum Detector.
