Freedom spectrometer

Share this on social media:

Ibsen Photonics, a maker of fused silica transmission gratings and spectrometer modules, has announced its Freedom spectrometer platform for OEM integrators of analytical instruments.

The Freedom platform combines compact size and cost efficiency with high performance and flexibility in choice of detector systems. Freedom provides the same robust and thermally stable performance as Ibsen Photonics' Rock spectrometer products. These benefits make Freedom especially well suited for integration into high performance portable and handheld instruments.

The footprint of the Freedom platform is only 50mm by 45mm. In terms of performance, the spectrometer provides a low stray light level and high efficiency due to the use of Ibsen Photonics' in-house produced holographic transmission gratings. Optical resolution can be as good as 1nm and the f-number (f/3.1) is among the best for ultra-compact spectrometers on the market.
