Limo has released a high-power diode laser, designed to homogeneously illuminate an area of 28 x 28 x 80mm. The LIMO50-L28x28-DL795-EX473 emits 50W output power. The centre wavelength of 794.8nm +/-0.2nm and the spectral width of only 0.7nm offer high wavelength stability, which is essential for the hyperpolarisation of inert gases for NMR spectroscopy or in magnetic resonance tomography. In addition, the laser beam is >97 per cent circular polarised for high-resolution measurements.

The reliable and economic light sources operate with thermoelectric cooling or simple tap water cooling. A compact laser head size of 445 x 110 x 66mm makes it suitable for portable measurement devices.
