AMS Technologies is providing the expanded PLD series of laser diode drivers from Wavelength Electronics. The new products include the PLD10K-CH 10 Amp laser diode driver, which does not incorporate the heat sink for a smaller OEM package.
This PLD includes user adjustments, status indicators and cabling. It drives any laser diode configuration in constant power or constant current mode. Multiple laser diodes can be run in series for a high compliance voltage. This is ideal for applications where current stability is critical and space is tight, such as desktop inspection instruments or medical diagnostic equipment.
Other models drive 5A (PLD5000 [PCB mount] or PLD5K-CH [Chassis Mount]), 1.25A (PLD1250), 500mA (PLD500), or 200mA (PLD200). All drivers are backed by unlimited free technical support and online manuals.
