Edmund Optics has introduced a precision-grade cube beamsplitter for high-power Nd:YAG Lasers. Tech Spec High-Energy Polarising Cube Beamsplitters use multilayer dielectric film technology to minimise reflection and absorption losses. The result is a beam splitter that puts maximum optical power where it is needed while handling high laser-power densities up to 5J/cm2.

Designed specifically for high power laser applications at 532nm or 1064nm Yd:YAG lasers, these beamsplitters feature a precision-fused silica substrate and high-energy coatings. A unique optical contact bonding method eliminates the need for adhesive between the prisms, simultaneously improving the damage threshold of the beamsplitter and parallelism of incoming and exiting beams. A V-coat AR coating at the design wavelength virtually eliminates energy loss.
