Efficient diode laser system

LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik, located in Dortmund, Germany, has introduced a 1.3kW diode laser system with wall-plug efficiency of 30 per cent, (including cooling). The excellent efficiency is thanks to the fibre coupling through high-end beam shaping. In addition the system is practically maintenance-free, thanks to the passive cooling via micro-channels. This is an extremely compact solution for cutting and welding that is easy to integrate.

Users can utilise standard process heads for the diode laser and effective fibre-optic cable can be replaced without readjustment. In addition, industrial standard beam delivery systems (LLK-B fibre connectors including breakage and plug monitor) are used.

Additional advantages include a variety of interfaces to PLC and field busses of all types (Ethernet, CAN, Profibus) and CE-conformant configuration of safety-relevant interfaces. LIMO delivers the compact, modular laser system with an easy-to-replace diode laser module, on which there is a guarantee of three years.
