Mark Harrison, Assistant Professor, Chapman University

The Harrison Research Lab focuses on developing photonic and plasmonic devices for use in large-scale digital logic circuits using high-powered simulations and standard micro- and nanofabrication techniques. Specifically, this work will serve to enhance optical communication and computing applications.

Dr Harrison says his group has performed some inverse design work, pushing the boundaries of commercially available tools, that has been useful to other researchers. The team has also begun investigating uses of epsilon-near-zero materials for wave mixing in integrated waveguides.
